Introduction and article (Isreal Parker on Promoting Your Work and Promoting Yourself) – Write Tight From Start To Finish https://www.createspace.com/3893138
- What is your literary guilty pleasure? Graphic novels. Some are very well written and well illustrated (you did say ”guilty”).
- What books inspired you as a child? Black Beauty, Robert Asprin’s Myth series, Outlaw Red and Starship Troopers (plus a shelf full of Star Trek novels and a long list of comic books).
- Do you have any strange rituals that help you get in the mood to work? If I’m doing art or writing I do the same thing. I surround myself with as many works of art as I can from as many artists as I can. I seldom actually have ideas based on the art, but it helps get my mind in the right mode. If I’m working on a story based on my art, I include my art in the mix.
- Is there a genre or style of writing that you are afraid to attempt? Funny you should ask. I’ve just started planning a murder mystery. I’m terrified.
- If you could work with any living writer, who would it be and why? My favorite writer died recently (Michael Crichton), so I guess I have to go with Dean Koontz. His stories are always imaginative and typically include average people overcoming incredible adversities.
